ABOUT ART BY DMCG

Denise McGoldrick (DMcG) is an acrylic landscape painter based in Depoe Bay, Oregon and Boise, Idaho. Her land and seascapes are characterized by smooth brush strokes and the use of vivid colors. Realistic views are painted to evoke an emotional reactions to the beauty of the natural world. Most of her image choices are inspired by places in the Pacific Northwest.

The artist, new to selling and displaying her art in 2021, has recently displayed her work at several juried shows at local galleries in the Boise area including the annual Opus 2023 show at the Water's Edge Gallery, the Unusual Show at the Treasure Chest Gallery, the Thirst exhibition at the Nampa Civic Center and Let the Sun Shine exhibition at the Meridian Civic Center, Instinct at the Nampa Civic Center, Inspire at the Nampa Civic Center. A solo display of her art will show at the Pacific Artist's Gallery in Lincoln for the month of March 2024.

Denise enjoys all aspects of painting from finding inspiration and skill development, to brush in hand time and image creation. For many years she enjoyed the practice and inspiration gathering for her art and only recently entered the world of commerce as she shares her paintings with a broader viewership.

Additionally, she creates children’s fantasy paintings and wildlife paintings in the hope of inspiring a love of art for those of all ages.
